Toshiba Machine Co., America is excited to feaIMTS 2014 Preview: Toshiba Machineture the newest addition to the TUE Series of vertical boring and turning mills at IMTS this year: the TUE-100. With a one meter (40”) table diameter, this VTL is designed for high speed, heavy-duty cutting with a max load up to 2000 kg (4400 lbs).

The TUE-100 utilizes the same field-tested design as larger TUE models, capitalizing on the identical ram cross section to support the railhead for increased precision.  Further improving cutting performance are the two types of bearings to support both the radial and axial loads of the table, along with the high quality cast iron bed, specifically designed for efficient chip removal.

Sitting within a more compact 5m x 3.5m x 4m (200” x 138” x 174”) footprint compared to larger models, the TUE-100 showcases the highest rapid rate available in its class with feed rates up to 2000 mm/min, thus reducing cycle times and increasing productivity.
