Quebec City — Davie Shipbuilding applauds the Government of Quebec for its commitment to the industry in its 2015-2016 budget, which will result in jobs and economic prosperity.

The 2015-2016 budget demonstrates that the Government of Quebec is keenly focused on the marine industry. The development of a maritime cluster which extends throughout the marine industry is a model which has worked very well in several European coastal states, said Alan Bowen, CEO, Davie. I commend this government for its leadership in transforming and advancing Quebecs marine industry.

In its 2015-2016 budget, the Government of Quebec allocated significant funds to the advancement of its Maritime Strategy, focused on the construction, optimisation and operation of ships and marine infrastructure, in an environmentally conscious manner, throughout Quebecs waterways.
