At the 2013 edition of FABTECH in Chicago, TRUMPFs Stefan Fickenscher took some time to speak with Canadian metalworkings editor Jim Anderton about the companys new 5030 fiber laser.
The laser uses the their new technology, dubbed BrightLine fiber, which gives it certain advantages over CO2 lasers.
This technology is really groundbreaking, says Fickenscher. It gives us the (ability) to cut thicker mild steel and stainless steel with a solid state laser source, in an exceptionally high quality.
BrightLine gives users a variety of benefits, including an improved edge quality.
