Amada America, Inc. is making major plans this year. The company has announced that will open its newest North American Satellite Center, located in Columbus, OH, on March 10, 2015. This center will be the second for Amada, although the company does anticipate opening its third North American Satellite Center in Charlotte, NC, later this year.
The North American Satellite Centers are designed to provide local access to Amadas services and equipment.
The Columbus site was strategically selected to coincide with the resurgence of manufacturing in Ohio.
Amada is constantly developing new technologies and innovative equipment that enable fabricators to maximize their productivity and profitability, says Mike Guerin, COO of Amada America, Inc. At the same time, Amada continues to set the standard for service and support through our growing network of customer-centered sites. Facilities like our Satellite Centers, the Solution Center in Schaumburg, IL, the Los Angeles Technical Center and our Laser Manufacturing Center in Brea, CA are all part of Amada’s multi-tiered approach to strengthen North American Industry. Our goal is simple—make every effort to ensure fabricators’ success through world-class innovation and convenient access to it.
Manufacturing in Ohio generates over $300 billion in annual sales and accounts for 17 per cent of the state’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), greater than any other industry sector.
Satellite Centers, like the ones located in Columbus, OH and Dallas, TX, are key to providing customers hands-on access to Amada’s engineering and technical expertise.
All three of the Satellite Centers will showcase leading-edge technologies and the latest generation of Amada equipment. To ensure accessibility to the broadest possible range of equipment, each Satellite Center will link via video feed to the Amada Solution Center in Schaumburg, IL and/or the Los Angeles Technical Center.
This gives customers the ability to verify custom-engineered solutions for their specific needs as engineers perform live demonstrations on state-of-the-art equipment including; fiber and CO2 laser cutting systems, punch/fiber laser combination machines, the latest advances in turret punch press technology, robotic bending and automated material handling systems.
