KOMET of America  and CERATIZIT USA have announced a strategic supply chain partnership for the North American KOMET SERVICE network.

CERATIZIT will supply high-grade solid carbide for the custom tools KOMET SERVICE partners manufacture.

Currently, there are seven partners in both the United States and Canada in the KOMET SERVICE network. The company believes that this partnership will benefit end users, who will profit from tools made from solid carbide of consistent and guaranteed quality, in addition to shorter lead times on new custom tooling.

KOMET and CERATIZIT are both global names in the carbide tooling industry.

For the service partners, this represents one of the added benefits that come with the platform, in addition to the business opportunities and brand equity that KOMET brings to the arrangement.

Customers who use the service partners to meet their tooling refurbishment and manufacturing needs will benefit, too. CERATIZIT’s reliable supply means shorter lead times and more accurate delivery date estimates for special solid carbide tooling projects.

The program has been negotiated and prepared and is effective immediately. However, full implementation is not expected to begin for a few weeks into 2015.
