TORonTO — Bombardier Aerospace has launched a US$190-million deal with Warsaw-based Eurolot for six Q400 NextGens to a firm order that will increase the airline’s fleet to 14 of the aircraft.

Eurolot made a firm order for eight Q400 NextGen airliners with 12 options in March, and delivery of the first aircraft was announced on May.

The airline has joined Bombardier Commercial Aircrafts Smart Parts Program, which customizes requirements and provides competitive and predictable advanced component exchange and repair costs, plus ready access to key components.

The Montreal-based Bombardier said it has booked firm orders for 460 Q400 and Q400 NextGen turboprops, and delivered aircraft are in service with more than 40 operators in 33 countries.

The 70- to 80-seat turboprop has been designed for short-haul flights.
