Voting is underway, and less than two weeks remain for the public to selec the grand prize winner of the Cintas Cold Crew contest at the voting website.
The Cold Crew contest was launched last December in conjunction with the release of the new Carhartt Rental Active Jacket, offered exclusively by Cintas Corporation, North America’s largest uniform provider. The goal is to recognize workers in the U.S. and Canada whose jobs require them to withstand tough working conditions in cold temperatures.
“This is a great way for two well-respected workwear brands to showcase the men and women who withstand some of the harshest working conditions out there, said Rick Fecowicz, director of Carhartt Licensing.
Hundreds of votes have been cast already for the ten Cold Crew finalists below, who have a shot at winning an all-expenses-paid trip for two to the 2012 STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series in June:
Morgan Archibald, a line clearance tree trimmer foreman from Salt Lake City, UT
Brooke Boyer, a wastewater treatment plant operator from Mt. Shasta, CA
Stephen Deschenes, an operations manager and boat captain from Boston, MA
Trevor Pearce, a general contractor from Calgary, AB, Canada
Travis Goodrich, a hay processing plant supervisor from Saint Helens, OR
Ryan Kopicky, a landscape supervisor from Williams, AZ
Jesse Madrigal, a driller from Elko, NV
Aaron Manning, a mining welder from Acheson, AB, Canada
Thomas Miller, a well site geologist from Houston, TX
Jeffrey Musselman, a merchant mariner from Kings Point, NY

“This contest is a great reflection of the character of our companies,” says Chuck Helmes, Director of Garment Strategy at Cintas Corporation. “Both Carhartt and Cintas are known for providing tough, durable products and quality, dependable service, and we want to recognize the workers who reflect those same characteristics.”
