CALGARY—Bombardier Inc. will complete the interiors of its new business jets in Montreal.

The aerospace company says it weighed all options when deciding wher the work on the Global 7000 and Global 8000 jets would take place.

Its Global 5000 and Global 6000 jets are already finished at the company’s Montreal-based global completion centre. The facility is also close to Bombardiers headquarters and key suppliers.

The plane-maker, however, has yet to announce if any new jobs will be created.

Bombardier sells 11 models of business aircraft and has nine facilities around the world providing pilot and technical training on its planes.

The Global 7000 features a four-zone cabin, with a volume of 74.67 cubic metres – 20 per cent larger than the company’s Global 6000. The aircraft will have a range of 13,520 km and is scheduled to enter into service in 2016.

Its Global 8000 has the farthest reach of any Bombardier business jet, at more than 14,500 km, connecting Sydney to Los Angeles. It is scheduled for service by 2017.
