Toronto—Steve Devonport has been promoted to the position of publisher of Canadian metalworking. In his previous role as sales manager with Canadian metalworking, Steve developed close relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders in the metalworking industry, resulting in consistent growth and a strong profile of the magazine in the industrial market.
Canadian metalworking also has a new editor, Jim Anderton. Jim has been a technical writer and editor for more than 20 years and has written for titles such as Centre, Jobber News, Autovision, National Post Driving and expressions. Before publishing, Jim earned a BA in Economics and a BSc in Materials Science and worked in the auto industry for several Tier One manufacturers as a millwright, quality assurance technician and product designer.
Canadian metalworking, recently acquired by Business Information Group, is one of Canada’s largest and oldest industrial magazines, publishing since 1905. It covers the latest technology and strategies on machine and cutting tools, fabricating, welding, quality, automation and metal finishing.
