MONTREAL: Avior Integrated Products Inc. plans to create 30 new jobs in Quebec after the private company won a $40 million contract to build structural components for Bombardier Aerospace.

Avior said the new parts and assemblies will be used in the manufacture of several Bombardier aircraft, including Challenger, CSeries, Global, Learjet 85 and NextGen.
The new work is expected to create more than 30 new jobs over the next year at Avior operations in Laval and Granby, Que.

“We are very excited about the award of this new work and the impact it will have in establishing Avior as a Quebec-based integrator of aerospace metal and composite structures,” said Stephen Kearns, president and CEO of the company.

Avior operates two manufacturing facilities in Quebec: one in Laval that specializes in sheet metal detail fabrication and sub-assemblies and the other in Granby, which manufacturers composite details and sub-assemblies with specialization in high temperature composite graphite materials, thermoformed products, acrylic transparencies and structures.
