GM celebrates increased December sales figures

December was a month to celebrate for GM Canada. In the last month of 2014, Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealers delivered 19,247 vehicles. This number is a 13 per cent increase from the same month in the previous year.

As for the year as a whole, 2014 was also very productive for GM.  Sales were up more than 6 per cent in Canada with Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealers delivering 249,800 vehicles.

“Consumer response to our award-winning launch products drove a strong close for 2014,” said Steve Carlisle, president and managing director, General Motors of Canada.  “As we start 2015, we will strive to deliver maximum consumer value by delivering a full suite of owner benefits, with solid warranties, industry-leading technology, complimentary lube oil and filter service with every vehicle, and a full range of financing and leasing options.”

GM now offers customers 4G LTE technology on more than 30 Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac vehicles, the largest deployment in the automotive industry.  4G offers mobile data speeds up to 10 times faster than 3G, allowing GM vehicles to act as Wi-Fi hot spots, allowing customers to connect up to 7 different devices.

December 2014 Sales Highlights

Chevrolet total sales increased by 15 per cent lead by sales of the Sonic, Malibu, Impala, Traverse, Silverado, Tahoe and SuburbanBuick total sales increased by 65 per cent lead by sales of the Verano, Regal, LaCrosse and EncoreGMC total sales increased by 2 per cent lead by sales of the Acadia, Sierra, Canyon and YukonCadillac total sales increased by 18 per cent lead by sales of the CTS, XTS and Escalade
