The Canada Job Grant has been in effect for several months now. However, many students and employers have been facing challenges when it comes to gathering information about the program and the application process. This is why triOS and Eastern College have decided to launch a website to help educate the Canadian public on the benefits of the program and easy steps to apply. On November 18, 2014, wwww.canadajobsgrant.com went live, providing an interactive webpage that helps direct users to necessary information.
Under the Canada Job Grant, which was to be implemented by July 1, 2014, businesses can apply for funding to prepare workers for new or better jobs. The government has committed to pay up to $10,000 per worker, with the remaining $5,000 coming from employers.
The teams at Eastern and triOS can work with companies throughout the application process to ensure the best results and create customized curriculum based on the needs identified by the employer.
“We have been working with employers for over 30 years and can provide them with the leverage they require to expand and grow their businesses. We can consult with companies to identify gaps within their workforce and build curriculum to solve employment issues,” said Frank Gerencser, Chairman & CEO, triOS College and Eastern College.
triOs College has several locations throughout Ontario, while Eastern College is located in Atlantic Canada, with campuses in Halifax, Saint John, Fredericton, Moncton, Charlottetown and St John’s. Both colleges are dedicated to partnering with employers to help guide them through the grant program and help prepare students for direct entry into the workforce.
