Mazak Optonics has welcomed a new regional sales manager to the team. Art Weinerman will be covering the Southeast territory including Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Florida.

“I look forward to working with a great team of sales professionals in the Southeast to expand Mazak’s position as the laser manufacturer of choice in this region,” said Weinerman. “I am up for the challenge and confident that, with the support of marketing, service and the entire Mazak organization, it will enable us to succeed in this endeavor.”

Weinermans background includes 38 years in the precision metal fabrication industry, split between both sales and manufacturing.

“Art is a welcome addition to our regional sales group,” stated Al Bohlen, general manager and vice president of Mazak Optonics Corp. “With extensive industry experience combined with a strong laser background, we are very confident in his abilities to support our sales network in the Southeast.”

At the same time, the company has announced that it has a new distribution partnership in the Southeast Region. Mazak Optonics Corporation has partnered with ProMac Technologies, which based in Charlotte, NC. The company will serve manufacturers and job shops in the states of North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia, focusing on Mazak’s full line of laser-cutting systems along with a selec group of other advanced manufacturing technologies.

ProMac President, Bob Lauer, is enthusiastic about the opportunity to represent the Mazak Optonics brand. With over 27 years of technical and industry experience in the laser cutting field, Lauer will extend his expertise to grow and expand Mazak Optonics’ presence in the region.

Combining Mazak’s wide range of laser products with ProMac’s vast laser experience, the partnership will provide enhanced consultation in manufacturing solutions geared specifically toward customer application requirements, increased productivity and overall profitability.
