Machining Cloud GmbH will now publish Iscars product data on their cloud. This partnership will allow Iscar products to be easily accessible for customers to directly feed their CNC programming, machine simulations, and machine tool setup and operations.

Machining Cloud aims to providing the manufacturing community with a single source for all their machining needs. Leading manufacturers of machine tools, cutting tools, and workholding can upload their product information and customers can access up-to-date- and complete information. Iscars decision to partner with Machining Cloud will allow its users the ability to access the cloud and everything they wanted to know about Iscars products and increase productivity.

“Having direct access to the Iscar cutting-tool product data on the cloud reduces the frustration and time associated with obtaining the tooling information needed for running their CAM systems, tool-management software, cutting-tool presetters and machine tools,” says  Stephane Julien, Cloud Evangelist for Machining Cloud GmbH.

The Cloud option removes the frustration of having to deal with flipping through printed catalogues or searching various websites for the necessary data. Iscar customers will now have access to descriptions, usage and geometric information, and application knowledge.

Using the Machining Cloud tablet and desktop apps, users have access to a rich set of software features including selecor, configurator, job management, reporting and commerce.

“This partnership will create significant value and time savings by providing a solution to facilitate the flow of product data from Iscar to their customers,” says Meir Noybauer, business development manager at Iscar Ltd.

“The cloud-computing technology that has dramatically changed the shape of industries such as music, television, news, social networking and many others is now materializing in the metalworking market with Machining Cloud,” continued Noybauer.

Iscar is not the first company to partner with Machining Cloud. Okuma, TDM Systems, Zoller  are just a few of the many companies to put their data on the cloud system. Iscar is the largest of the 15 companies comprising the IMC (International metalworking Companies). The IMC supply a dynamic comprehensive line of precision carbide metalworking tools. These companies produce a wide range of carbide inserts, carbide endmills and cutting tools, covering most metal cutting applications.

IMC also provides engineering and manufacturing solutions to major industries throughout the world.
