Chrysler Canada is reporting that it has retained the position as number one seller of new vehicles within Canada at the halfway point of 2014. The report supports the three per cent increase in car and truck sales in June over the same month last year.
The company says it sold 27,013 vehicles last month, up from 26,222 in the year-ago period.
“Strong June sales have contributed to our best calendar-year-to-date sales since 1988,” said David Buckingham, Chief Operating Officer, Chrysler Canada. “We have now achieved 55 months of year-over-year sales growth, the longest streak in our company’s history. A product portfolio which continues to broaden and appeal to Canadians is the key to this success story.”
The Dodge Dart, Jeep Wrangler and Ram also put in a strong showing.

Sales Highlights
The Dodge Dart reports its best June sales to date with 1,064 units sold.The Jeep brand sold 6,817 units, with the Wrangler leading the charge with 2,553 units sold.The Fiat sold 854 units, an increase of 12 per cent over 2013.8,034 Ram trucks were sold, up 6 per cent from the previous year.The Ram Truck brand continued momentum by announcing a newest addition to the commercial vehicle lineup set to arrive later this year: 2015 Ram ProMaster City.
