CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. A Brazilian car parts manufacturer is planning to break ground later this month in northeastern Pennsylvania for its first U.S. facility.

Torcomp LLC is building a new factory in the Cumberland Valley Business Park, near Chambersburg. The facility will create 73 new jobs over the next three years.

The Franklin County Area Development Corp. said construction of the 16,400-square-foot plant is expected to take six months and be completed in the fall. The company plans to invest more than $9 million at the new site.

Gov. Tom Corbett said the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority will provide a $640,000, 15-year low-interest loan to the county development agency on behalf of Torcomp.
