NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE, Ont. Canadas provincial and territorial leaders say they want a meeting with Ottawa to hash out their differences over a controversial plan to provide jobs training for workers.
ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne says theres concern across the board over the federal governments plans for a new skills-training scheme called the Canada Job Grant.
The Harper government wants to divert some of the money it gives to the provinces to the new program, with the provinces and employers each kicking in a third.
But premiers gathered for the Council of the Federation meeting in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont., are worried that it wont give them enough flexibility to direct the money wher its needed most.

Wynne says the premiers are also concerned about the lack of consultation, with some saying they wont take part in the program.
She says there was a very strong feeling at the meeting that the Canada Job Grant wont work.
Wynne says British Columbia Premier Christy Clark and New Brunswick Premier David Alward will look into the issue and report back to their counterparts this fall.
She says all the premiers are also calling for a meeting between the federal, provincial and territorial ministers to discuss the issue.
