Mazak Canada has announced a new seven-member sales team that will serve its customer base in Ontario. In December 2012 the company made the decision to take over sales responsibilities from its previous distributor network.

The sales team will include both existing staff members and three recently hired sales professionals, Bob Kanarek, Martin Craven and Darcy Ball.

“ontario has extremely competitive and complex automotive and aerospace industry sectors that requires the use of very sophisticated machines and manufacturing systems,” said Ray Buxton, general manager of Mazak Corporation Canada Headquarters and Technology Centre.

“Bob, Martin and Darcy have exactly what it takes to work closely with these types of customers and assist them in optimizing their operations and growing their competitive advantage. We are thrilled to have these highly experienced gentlemen on our team.”

The sales will be based out of Mazakʼs Canada Headquarters and Technology Centre in Cambridge, Ontario.

According to Buxton, the Canada Technology Centre gives customers direct access to their machine tool technology, training courses, application assistance, parts support that will help customers achieve lean, efficient manufacturing operations and solutions for other challenges.

The Canadian technology centre is one of eight regional technology centres that Mazak operates in North America.
