ESAB has launched a new microsite that teaches MIG welders how to increase their productivity and weld quality.

The site AristoRod site, as it’s known, explains the benefits of their non-copper coated AristoRod MIG wires. The wires are already common in European welding markets such as Scandinavia, Germany and France, and are becoming more popular in North America and developing markets like China.

It also details how the wires Advanced Surface Characteristics (ASC) result in high-productivity welding in robotic, mechanized and manual applications.

The site includes video animations in 24 languages, high-speed arc recordings and scientific data. Visitors to the site can access detailed information for the comprehensive range of wires for welding non-alloyed and low-alloyed steels.

It also gives information on the company’s environmentally friendly Marathon Pac for bulk wire drums and ESABs SAT (Swift Arc Transfer) process.

The Marathon Pac can reduce time required for spool changes in robotic and other highly mechanized welding applications. The Swift Arc Transfer is a high-speed MIG process for mechanized and robotic welding of fillet welds.
