MonTREAL – Bombardier Transportation announced a contract Wednesday valued at US$107 million to build a transit system for Dubai International Airport.
The agreement includes 18 of Bombardiers Innovia APM 300 cars and a control system for driverless operation.
Bombardier will also provide project management, systems engineering and integration, testing and commissioning for the 1.5-kilometre system.
The new system will have the capacity to carry more than 200,000 passengers a day.
Bombardier is a sub-contractor to Al Jaber L.E.G.T. Engineering and Contracting, which is overseeing the construction of a new concourse at the airport.
