SMS Machine Tools will be hosting a Demo Day on Wednesday, February 27th, from 8:30AM to 7:30PM. The event will be held at the company’s Toronto facility, located at 32 Claireville Drive.

A variety of demonstrations of Hanwha Swiss-style lathes will be on display for attendees. The event will be a showcase for the Hanwha machine tool line, which is new to the Canadian Market.

“This is a new line we took on, so we’re having an open house mostly to showcase that product,” said Craig Collison, Marketing Director for SMS Machine Tools. “It’s new to the industry and this is launch for the Canadian market.”

Representatives from the Hanwha factory will be on hand to field questions from the attendees about the Swiss-style CNC machining, and how it applies to todays manufacturing environment. Also, tooling suppliers, such as Iscar, and other product experts will be on hand to answer questions as well.

Refreshments will be served and there will also be a draw to give away a free iPad Mini to one of the attendees.
