EDMONTON— This year’s edition of the Western Manufacturing Technology Show (WMTS) will be held at the Edmonton EXPO Centre from June 4 to 6, 2013.

Currently, 99 per cent of the exhibit space has been sold, and the show will feature new technology and information to give Alberta manufacturers resources from which to draw on.

There will be some new features to this year’s edition of the show. One of those will be a “Job Shop Night” that will take place on Wednesday, June 5 from 4:00-6:00 PM.

Included in the admission price there will be an education program with presentations on the show floor.

There will also be opportunities to network with technology companies and industry professionals, as well as live machinery and product demonstrations.

“For manufacturers, WMTS is the place to learn, evaluate and compare technologies and solutions on a one-on- one basis. All under one roof, over three days,” says Janine Saperson, event manager.

More than 2,000 attendees are expected to attend the biennial event.

The artwork for this year’s edition of the show was done by Edmonton-based artist Jason Carter, an accomplished, contemporary Aboriginal visual artist.
