Mississauga, Ont. – Sandvik Coromant Canada hosted an event highlighting the company’s value-added services at their Mississauga Productivity Centre on September 27, 2012.

The event included facility tours, guest speakers and a meet and greet with specialists to outline how the company supports its customers throughout the manufacturing process.

Guest speaker Vladimir Cechura, Business Process Owner, Sandvik Coromant AB, talked about industry trends and the challenges customers face in the fast-paced manufacturing world. He also discussed future services currently in development that would help meet increasing customer demands for support.

“In Canada, nearly one third of our organization is in the service and support area focusing on working with our customers to improve their efficiency,” said Mike Hammond, Services Manager, Sandvik Coromant Canada.

“For us a yellow coat is a guarantee there’s someone who understands the customer’s production, their business and the industry they work in.”

Attendees also met with Yellow Coat experts for six selected service areas: process development, machine investments, application/productivity improvement programs, tool logistics, special tools and recycling.

The specialists discussed the company’s capabilities in each area, and the different ways in which Sandvik Coromant can work with and support its customers to improve their efficiencies.
