Royal has announced its newest live centre for spline rolling. Spline rolling is designed for the cold forming process, which is often used in the production of transmission shafts, for its speed and efficiency.
The spline rolling live centers are specially constructed with a heavy-duty tapered roller bearing paired with a precision angular contact bearing to handle the very high loads produced during the spline rolling process. Accuracy is guaranteed at an industry leading ±0.00002 TIR. Body and point are hardened and ground for strength and durability.
Bearing life is significantly extended with the exclusive Royal Roto-Shield coolant slinger and a long-life, spring-loaded seal that is resistant to abrasion, high temperatures, and virtually all metalworking fluids.
This product is available from stock in standard and long-point models to suit a wide range of applications. The product is offered in 3MT or 4MT with a load capacity of 140 to 250 lbs. The spline rolling live centre offers a maximum suggested rpm of 5,000.
