Grieve showcases its newest product, No. 883 is a 1000°F electric universal oven. The oven is currently used for solution heat treating of aluminum molds at a customer’s facility.  Workspace dimensions of this unit measure 38”W x 48”D x 36”H.

24kW installed in Incoloy sheathed tubular elements heat the workspace, while a 1,200 CFM, 1-HP recirculating blower provides universal pattern front-to-rear airflow to the workload.

This oven features 8” thick insulated walls, comprising 2” of 1900°F block and 6” of 10 lb/cf density rockwool insulation, as well as an aluminized steel exterior, Type 304, 2B finish stainless steel interior and motor-operated vertical lift door.

No. 883 also includes a reinforced insulated floor with inverted angle wheel guides, a 300 lb. capacity stainless steel subway grating loading shelf and an external loading table to support the shelf for loading.

The unit has numerous safety and control devices onboard, including a digital indicating temperature controller with separate heating element control contactors, a recirculating blower airflow safety switch, an SCR power controller and a 10” diameter circular chart recorder.
