Tested in this heavy fabrication application using .045” and 1/16” gas shielded flux cored wire, 13 contact tips lasted for five months.

One of the highlights of the exhibit will be Victors Tweco medium- and heavy-duty Velocity MIG consumables. This product featurs shielding gas injection ports that keep the contact tip cooler. By running cooler, Velocity contact tips last longer than other consumables — up to 500 per cent or more in gas shielded flux cored, spray transfer and pulsed spray transfer applications and up to 300 per cent or more in short circuit MIG applications.

Tweco will integrate Velocity consumables on its Spray Master MIG guns, as well as make retrofit kits available for existing Spray Master guns.
