TRUMPF has announced record results from the firm’s US operations and twelve orders on the first day of FABTECH 2011.
On display are laser systems that showcase all three of the company’s resonator technologies—TruCoax and TruFlow CO2 resonators and the fiber-guided solid-state TruDisk laser.
Highlights include the introduction of the TruMatic 7000 to the North American market, the TruLaser 5030 fiber, and MyTRUMPF.com, the company’s customer portal to streamlined information on machines, products and services.
Demonstrations of MyTRUMPF.com take place thorughout the show at MyTRUMPF Café in Booth 1100.
Sales numbers at TRUMPF are up year over year, according to president and CEO Rolf Biekert: “We’re excited…there is a lot of concern about Europe, but there is optimism in Germany and here in North America.

TRUMPF Inc. CEO Rolf Biekert is bullish on the next twelve months
In spite of the global economy, TRUMPF saw our highest revenue increase in our history, up 51 percent year over year. Growth was seen in almost all regions.
TRUMPF US was up 52 per cent over last year and our commitment to R&D is well over the industry average, up 16 per cent. Employment is up 5 per cent over last year and we have over 70 open positions, mostly in service areas.”
Biekert is similarly enthused about the future: “It’s never easy to predict….world markets are in a state of flux. We have growth in many markets, but growth rates are lower than last year. We don’t expect 50 percent, but we are planning for a significant increase in revenues.”
