We are thrilled to announce that our Winnipeg MMP Expo was a great success. The keynote address by Don Boitson of Magellan Aerospace was so popular, the room was filled to the brim with attendees interested in hearing about aerospace manufacturing in the region and Canada-wide. After Boitson’s presentation, guests filed into the exhibition hall wher booth exhibitors were happy to greet them.
With just under 100 booths available, visitors were treated to a wide variety of metalworking and manufacturing companies, showcasing their capabilities. The show lasted from 10 am to 4 pm, with streams of people all day long. There was a buzz in the air all day long as visitors inquired about products, services, and general interest questions.
Exhibitors were very happy with the turnout and the show was well received, especially for a first time show.
“It was overdue that Winnipeg has its own metal processing expo,” says Stefan Fickenscher, the newly appointed managing director of TRUMPF Canada.
“Much like what we saw the first time in Vancouver, the Winnipeg audience was starving for a show, and the opportunity to meet suppliers to learn about technology,” explains Frank Bolieiro, Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Elliott Matsuura Canada. “It was a good show, a busy show!”
