SUDBURY, Ont. – Members of United Steelworkers (Local 2020) reached a new collective agreement with Walden Welding Inc. on November 20.

The USW represents 13 workers at Walden Welding, a certified and licensed custom fabrication and mechanical contracting company serving the private and industrial sectors.

The workers voted 68 per cent to accept a three-year collective agreement that includes wage increases and benefit improvements. The unios bargaining committee had recommended acceptance of the agreement.

The previous collective agreement between the workers and the company expired on November 7.
