TORONTO—Samuel, Son & Co. Ltd. has acquired Stanrail Corp., a designer, manufacturer and distributor of railcar components.

Headquartered in Gary, Indiana Stanrail employs 122 at a 155,000 square foot facility.

Stanrails makes uncoupling levers, boxcar floors, roofs and doors.

Samuel is the 5th largest metal processor and distributor in North American with over 4,800 employees operating from 51 service centers and 43 manufacturing plants and has  facilities in the UK, Australia and China.
