OAKVILLE, Ont., — LENOX has launched a new online software program to help band saw users by making cutting recommendations for maximum blade performance.

The program, called SAWCALC, is available online, and will have its library of materials regularly updated, to provide cutting recommendations for 54 country standards. The program will be free for users.

“Putting SAWCALC online is the easiest way to get it in our users’ hands,” states Daniel Fernandes, associate brand manager at LENOX.

“Its intuitive interface and extensive materials help users maximize efficiency, value and blade performance.”

The software will help make it easier for users to gather information and help them choose the correct blade and sawing parameters in order to complete a job successfully. It considers material composition, size and shape, as well as the machine model, to prescribe specific speed, feed, blade and tooth specifications.

SAWCALC is designed to streamline sawing processes, helping determine setup procedures and total cut times. It includes a cut calculation application, calc sheet, band saw guide, FAQ and blade trial offers.
