Peddinghaus has introduced three new machines for the metal fabrication market.

The High Speed FDB 2500 is designed for high speed drilling, tapping, countersinking, part marking and thermal cutting. It features an eight-tool changer that travels with the spindle. It drills at 2250 rpm and processes plates that are 3 in. (75 mm) thick by 96 in. (2500 mm) side by 20 in. (6 m) long.

The BDL 1250-D is a high speed carbide drill that features a patent-pending “Smart Spindle” technology. It drills at 1800 rpm with a Siemens spindle specific motor. It is equipped with a cutting edge non-contact laser measurement system and has the Peddi-Cool eco-friendly tool lube.

The Ring of Fire is a true “all-in-one” machine that uses thermal cutting in a sweeping 400º motion. It cuts, bevels, splits and creates AISC-approved bolt holes with ease and can go from fabricating columns to detail parts with ease, according to the company.
