Sugino Corp. has introduced the MS7 Mechatric, the newest product in its Selfeeder line. The company claims that the MS7 delivers a dramatic increase in the depth and diameter of drilled holes in ferrous and non-ferrous metals with the same accuracy and repeatability that the Sugino Selfeeder is known for.
It features a 3.7kW spindle motor and 7,800N thrust and is capable of facing, end-milling, drilling 28 mm diameter holes in steel and up to 32 mm holes in cast iron while achieving tight tolerances. With its long 200 mm stroke and maximum cutting speed of 16.7 mm/sec the MS7 brings heavy duty material removal into Suginos realm of cost effective high speed machining. Its servo feed motor with infinite control capability allows the MS7 to perform in a range of variable feed applications including: slower enter feeds, pecking in deep holes, and reduced exit speeds to reduce burrs. The drilling unit comes complete with the servo motor CNC controller, allowing programming from a programming console, touch panel or a personal PC. The MS7 is effective at producing high volume work for a lower cost per hole versus expensive machine tools. Greater machine flexibility is also achieved by incorporating Segnos Multi-Spindle heads, which maximize productivity while cutting your net cost per hole. The compact 17 in. x 41 in. footprint fits into tight spaces on your production line, allowing you to generate more money per square foot in your facility.
