Heres a brief interview between Canadian metalworking editor Jim Anderton and the president of George Brown College, Anne Sado. In the video they discuss the shortage of skilled trades workers in the country and the ways that schools like George Brown can help solve that issue.

Weve introduced a trades techniques program, which gives (students) a sampling of the trade for eight weeks at a time, says Sado.

They go through a number of trades five different ones over the course of 10 months, then they have a good idea and they can potentially pursue one in more detail.
